concrete poetry

ինչ որ է ան է| it is what it is

it is what it is is a collection of concrete poems that follows a troubadour searching for a way to sing the place she comes from. The poems dwell in silence, gaps, and broken phrases, asking what language can hold, what it cannot, and what happens when language itself is no longer fully understood. The book also reflects on the place of an endangered language like Western Armenian in shaping identity. it is what it is is the first book of poetry in Western Armenian published by a US-born author.
